http://bit.ly/4ey8w48 https://jobs.nvoids.com/job_details.jsp?id=1412993&uid= Please do not submit if you have submitted earlier for this Job ID NCFast Senior Linux System Administrator (730338) Raleigh NC 6 months Must have minimum 15 years exp All work must be completed on site once COVID restrictions are lifted The primary role is to install and configure the Linux operating system as well as manage and maintain Linux-based systems on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform. The position will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and more. It will also be responsible for System maintenance by reviewing error logs, system backups, monitoring system performance to prevent slowdowns and disruptions, License deployments and setup, may include setting up a Linux Satellite server and deployment manager, and providing any needed technical support. This position will provide hands-on technical support for system security monitoring and optimizing the performance of these systems, as well as troubleshooting and resolving any issues that may arise. Additionally, this resource may be responsible for managing and maintaining other related technologies such as DDI (DNS, DHCP, and IPAM). Strong knowledge of Linux administration, AWS, and networking are required for this role. This position is required to be on call for evenings and weekends to meet business needs. Required SKills:- Strong experience with Linux administration experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux: RHEL on AWS platform Strong Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting Linux systems and applications Hands-on experience in performance monitoring enablement to manage the Scaling up and down of the environments Experience with Linux OS Patch (including taking snapshots of instances before applying updates) and OS Level Vulnerability Management Strong experience with Cookie Security, Web Browser Security, Server side encryptions, Data Encryption at Rest and Key management Strong experience with Image Management using Redhat Image Experience with cloud infrastructure, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS) like EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, SSM and EBS. Experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining services such as Bind, Apache, nginx, MYsql etc Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Cloudformation, Puppet, or Chef Strong scripting skills, specifically in Bash or Python Strong understanding of networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, and routing Proficient with network tools such as iptables, Linux IPVS, HAProxy, etc Experience in capturing, interpreting, and analyzing network traffic Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP and SNMP Troubleshooting Apache issues like performance testing and tuning, failure to restart, and queuing of requests Experience in performing multi-platform volume management using SVM, LVM, ZFS, NAS, and the VERITAS volume manager Experience with security best practices and implementing security controls in a AWS cloud environment Familiarity with wired and wireless networking hardware and architectures, Virtual LAN (VLAN) setup and configuration, VPN, Routing, IPV4, IPV6 Experience in user account management for large organization Linux certifications (RHCT, RHCE and LPIC) will be considered an advantage Additional qualification:- *The client is requesting that candidates are able to provide 2 references prior to final selection.
