Job Title: Db2z System DBA (Mainframe Db2 Subsystem Programmer) Location: 100% Remote Duration: 6+ Months Contract JOB DESCRIPTION Position Summary : Senior Db2z Subsystem Programmer will provide support on IBM Mainframes with the following responsibilities and tools support. Experience with Db2z DataSharing group. Planning and implementing regular Db2 z/OS RSU maintenance. Planning, testing and implementing Db2 z/OS version upgrades. DB2 subsystem performance tuning such as bufferpools, workfile space, coupling facility structures. Oncall 24 X 7 support during oncall week and weekend support for all maintenance and upgrade activities. Quick troubleshooting and problem solving for Db2 Subsystem, DBA and Application issues. Communicating with outside teams to provide guidance on Best Practices for our Db2 environments and Tools. Disaster Recovery planning and testing. Tools installation, upgrades and customization, maintenance and troubleshooting support of the following : IDAA ( Netezza and LinuxOne). lDAA Loader. IIDR (SQL and Queue Replication for DB2 z/OS). Admin Tool and Object Compare. Query Monitor. Db2 Sort. QMF. Log Analysis Tool. Optim. Compuware suite. POCs for replicating data from Mainframe to Cloud and ongoing support of replication tools.
