Develop and maintain scalable, reliable infrastructure on AWS, leveraging services such as EC2, S3, ECS, Lambda, CloudFormation, and CDK to support application requirements. Apply software engineering principles to write and maintain scripts in an object-oriented programming language (such as Python, typescript, primarily C#) for automation tasks, infrastructure as code (IaC), and custom tooling. Collaborate with software development teams to integrate DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle, promoting a DevOps culture and improving the overall efficiency and quality of the development process. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments, providing timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime and impact on end users. Stay abreast of new AWS features and services, and evaluate their potential impact on current and future infrastructure needs and projects. Document system configurations, procedures, and environments to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity within the team. Participate in on-call rotation for critical incident response and resolution outside of normal business hours, as needed. Qualifications: Strong background in software engineering with proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (Python, Java, C#, etc.). C# is what is used here, and is a plus. Minimum of 3 years of experience in DevOps roles with a focus on CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and cloud services, preferably AWS. Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions for continuous integration and continuous deployment. Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and ECS. Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (CloudFormation/CDK). Knowledge of system monitoring, logging, and alerting tools. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues spanning multiple systems and environments. Certifications in AWS and other relevant technologies are a plus.
