This role involves developing advanced network solutions to enhance performance, security, and scalability, aligning with business goals and technological advancements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Network Architecture Design: Design and architect robust, scalable, and secure network solutions with a focus on SD-WAN and Fortinet technologies. Develop network blueprints and standards to guide the implementation of network infrastructure projects. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. SD-WAN Implementation and Management: Lead the deployment and management of SD-WAN solutions to optimize network performance and connectivity. Configure and maintain SD-WAN components, ensuring seamless integration with existing network infrastructure. Monitor and analyze network traffic to optimize SD-WAN policies and performance. Fortinet Network Security: Implement and manage Fortinet security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, and other security appliances. Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures to protect against threats and vulnerabilities. Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards. Network Optimization and Troubleshooting: Perform network optimization to enhance performance, reduce latency, and improve reliability. Troubleshoot complex network issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime. Utilize network monitoring tools to proactively identify and address potential problems. Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including designs, configurations, and procedures. Provide regular updates and detailed reports on network performance, security, and project progress to management. Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Leadership and Collaboration: Lead cross-functional teams in network-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. Mentor and guide junior network engineers and technicians. Collaborate with IT teams and other departments to support business initiatives and ensure cohesive network operations. Vendor and Technology Management: Manage relationships with network hardware and software vendors, including Fortinet and SD-WAN providers. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to enhance network infrastructure. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in network technologies. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Masters degree preferred. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in network architecture and engineering. Proven expertise in designing and managing SD-WAN solutions and Fortinet technologies. Skills: Deep understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, and security. Proficiency in SD-WAN and Fortinet configuration and management. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong communication and leadership abilities. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Relevant certifications such as Fortinet NSE 4/5/6/7, SD-WAN certifications (e.g., VeloCloud, Cisco SD-WAN), or equivalent. Experience with network automation and orchestration tools. Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) and hybrid cloud environments. Knowledge of compliance standards and best practices in network security.
