Position: Senior Network Engineer (100% Remote) Location: 100% Remote Duration : 6 months Note -- Work done in EST. Preference to local candidates (NYC) Job Description . We are seeking a skilled Senior Network Engineer with a strong focus on FortiGate and Fortinet technologies to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network engineering, with a specialization in Fortinet Firewalls, networking security, and related solutions. Experience with Azure and Office 365 is highly desirable and will be considered a significant bonus. Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure solutions, with a primary focus on Fortinet products such as FortiGate Firewalls, Routers, Switches, SD-Access, ISE, VPN, and other security appliances. Provide expert-level support for Fortinet networking equipment, including troubleshooting, configuration, optimization, and maintenance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Fortinet solutions with existing network environments. Develop and implement network security policies, procedures, and best practices to protect against cyber threats and ensure compliance with industry standards. Perform regular audits and assessments of network infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities, recommend solutions, and mitigate risks. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, as well as participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives within the organization. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience). In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Fortinet Firewalls, networking security concepts, and related products. Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, and VLAN configurations. Experience with Azure and Office 365 is a significant plus. Certifications such as Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE), Cisco CCNA/CCNP, or equivalent are preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and implement effective solutions. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
