The project will involve significant emphasis on integration/interface processes, data migration, and testing. The roles require experienced professionals who can review, analyze, and evaluate business processes, and ensure successful software deployment. Key Responsibilities: 1. Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs. Facilitate user meetings to elicit business process requirements and functional requirements. Prepare detailed descriptions of user needs, business functions, and steps required to develop or modify automated systems. 2. Documentation and Communication: Prepare State of Michigan project templates in accordance with proper procedures. Proof documents for errors in business and technical descriptions, grammar, and spelling. Create system documentation, user manuals, and operation documentation. Develop and maintain a system to track all assigned tasks. 3. Testing and Quality Assurance: Coordinate, design, and implement test plans in conjunction with third-party software vendors and agency staff. Test the software solution prior to implementation, ensuring it meets functional and business requirements. Work closely with the projects quality assurance team to prepare for and complete large-scale testing efforts. 4. Integration and Data Migration: Lead efforts for integration/interface development and data migration. Coordinate and lead multiple technical and business teams in data cleaning and data migration efforts. Identify data cleaning and data migration risks, and assist in resolving project issues. Document data cleaning and data migration plans, explaining such plans to technical teams, business teams, and vendors. 5. Project Coordination and Leadership: Coordinate and communicate efforts of multiple technical and business groups, including enterprise architecture analysts, database administrators, data scientists, ETL developers, and end users. Support subject matter experts and project team members by drafting design documents and ensuring timely completion. Provide accurate feedback to project vendors on a range of deliverables. Required Skills and Experience: Experience: Minimum of 15 years in the field. Communication: Expert verbal and written communication skills in English. Requirements Development: Ability to develop business and functional requirements and transform them into clear and precise language. Testing: Experience in testing and evaluating software in a test environment, utilizing a testing suite such as Azure DevOps. Leadership: Demonstrable leadership and communication skills. Documentation: Proven experience in creating system documentation, user manuals, and operation documentation. Coordination: Experience in coordinating and leading multiple technical and business teams. Desired Skills and Experience: State of Michigan Experience: Familiarity with State of Michigan SUITE methodology and related documentation. Corrections Department Experience: Experience working directly for a corrections department or law enforcement agency as a business analyst focused on large-scale enterprise IT systems. Software Tools: Experience using enterprise testing, data cleaning, and data migration tools.
