This role involves developing advanced network solutions to enhance performance, security, and scalability, aligning with business goals and technological advancements. The work is remote but will require an occasional trip to company headquarters in Tulsa, Oklahoma. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Network Architecture Design: Design and architect robust, scalable, and secure network solutions using Cisco routers and switches. Develop network blueprints and standards to guide the implementation of network infrastructure projects. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Cisco Data Center and ACI Implementation: Lead the deployment and management of Cisco Data Center technologies and Cisco ACI to optimize network performance and connectivity. Configure and maintain Cisco ACI components, ensuring seamless integration with existing network infrastructure. Monitor and analyze network traffic to optimize ACI policies and performance. Palo Alto Network Security: Implement and manage Palo Alto security solutions, including firewalls and VPNs. Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures to protect against threats and vulnerabilities. Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards. Network Optimization and Troubleshooting: Perform network optimization to enhance performance, reduce latency, and improve reliability. Troubleshoot complex network issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime. Utilize network monitoring tools to proactively identify and address potential problems. Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including designs, configurations, and procedures. Provide regular updates and detailed reports on network performance, security, and project progress to management. Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Leadership and Collaboration: Lead cross-functional teams in network-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. Mentor and guide junior network engineers and technicians. Collaborate with IT teams and other departments to support business initiatives and ensure cohesive network operations. Vendor and Technology Management: Manage relationships with network hardware and software vendors, including Cisco and Palo Alto. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to enhance network infrastructure. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in network technologies. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in network architecture and engineering Minimum of 10 years with routers and switches Ability to manage complex projects on your own without assistance Proven experience with: Cisco Data Center Cisco ACI PAN Skills: Deep understanding of network protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, etc.). Proficiency in network monitoring and diagnostic tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIE, or equivalent. Experience with software-defined networking (SDN) and network automation. Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure). Knowledge of network security best practices and compliance standards.
