Position: AWS Cloud Architect

Location: Washington,
DC (Hybrid)

Duration: Long
Term Contract

Responsibilities

Strategize and Implement:
 Design and execute data warehouses and
application pipelines for cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake,
BigQuery).

Proof of Concepts (POCs):
 Develop and deliver POCs to standardize
data movement and consumption patterns.

Data Integration Solutions:
 Strategize and implement large-scale
data integration solutions.

Technical Specifications:
 Translate functional requirements into
detailed technical specifications for ETL development.

Stakeholder Collaboration:
 Manage collaboration across programs for
smooth implementation of data solutions.

Troubleshooting:
 Identify and resolve data migration
issues, ensuring data consistency and meeting business requirements.

Data Analysis:
 Analyze legacy data, data quality rules,
business rules, and data dictionaries.

ITSM Practices:
 Apply ITSM practices including service
delivery, incident management, change management, and problem resolution.

Observability Solutions:
 Implement application performance
monitoring, infrastructure monitoring, log analytics, and event management
using AIOps and MLOps.

Big Data Technologies:
 Utilize various Big Data technologies
for data streaming, programming, SQL/NoSQL, and visualization tools.

System Design and Deployment:
 Design, develop, and deploy scalable and
reliable systems to handle high volumes of data.

Efficient Solutions:
 Develop and implement efficient
solutions using Confluent Kafka, Java, and Spring Boot.

Integration:
 Collaborate with other engineers to
integrate data pipelines with existing systems to meet business needs.

Required
Qualifications

Experience:
 15+ years of professional experience as an AWS MSK/Apache
Kafka/Confluent Kafka developer with a deep understanding of Kafka development.

Technical Proficiency:
 Strong knowledge of Kafka internals,
Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies.

AWS Expertise:
 Direct experience or working knowledge
of AWS technologies including ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, Terraform, and
Kafka.

Authorization and Authentication:
 Sound
knowledge of authorization and authentication approaches like OAuth, SSO/SAML.

Build Tools:
 Experience with build tools like Maven,
Gradle, and unit test tools like JUnit and Mockito.

Service Orchestration:
 Foundational experience with service
orchestration and messaging technology, including Kafka governance.

Agile Methodologies:
 Experience with Agile development
methodologies.
