Role: Active Directory Subject Matter Expert Location: West Palm Beach, FL Duration: Full Time role JD: As an Active Directory Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Active Directory (AD) infrastructure within the organization. You will serve as the primary technical authority on all matters related to AD, providing guidance, support, and expertise to ensure its reliability, security, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Design and Architecture: Design, plan, and implement Active Directory architectures, including forests, domains, sites, and organizational units (OUs), in alignment with organizational goals and best practices. Deployment and Configuration: Lead the deployment and configuration of Active Directory services, including domain controllers, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, LDAP, and other related services. Security and Access Control: Develop and implement security policies, access controls, and authentication mechanisms to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of Active Directory data and resources. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Serve as a senior-level escalation point for troubleshooting complex Active Directory issues, including replication problems, authentication failures, and group policy conflicts. Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of Active Directory infrastructure, including directory service performance, replication traffic, and resource utilization, to ensure scalability and reliability. Disaster Recovery and High Availability: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and high-availability solutions for Active Directory, including backup and restore procedures, replication strategies, and failover mechanisms. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document Active Directory configurations, policies, procedures, and best practices. Provide training and knowledge sharing to IT staff and end-users on Active Directory usage and management. Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to evaluate, select, and implement Active Directory-related products and solutions, ensuring compatibility and integration with existing infrastructure. Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, security standards, and industry best practices related to Active Directory management and security.
