Job Description As a Technical Writer you will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality technical documentation that supports our products and services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, Architects, business owners and subject matter experts, to deliver user-friendly, accurate, and comprehensive documentation. Your work will help customers and end-users, support teams and product teams understand our products, reduce support inquiries, and contribute to an exceptional user experience. Prepare instruction manuals Disseminate technical information in easy-to-understand language for a non-technical audience Have technical accuracy in writing user documentation Create software documentation after a thorough collaboration with subject matter experts and technical staff Help other writers in creating documentation Ability to take existing and potential content and improve it Convert complex documentation to easy language for multiple audiences Create product manuals with screenshots and tutorials Write documentation for internal teams such as developers and programmers Communicate complex ideas in a concise manner Key Responsibilities Documentation Development: Create and update user guides, manuals, API documentation, installation guides, release notes, and other technical documents as required. Ensure that documentation is accurate, clear, concise, and in alignment with industry standards and company guidelines. Collaboration: Collaborate with subject matter experts and product teams to gather technical information and user requirements. Participate in discussions and meetings to understand product features, updates, and enhancements. User-Centric Content: Tailor documentation to meet the needs of different user groups, including end-users, system administrators, and developers. Write content that is user-friendly and accessible to a non-technical audience when necessary. Style and Consistency: Maintain a consistent style, format, and tone across all documentation to enhance the company's brand and identity. Implement best practices for technical writing and documentation organization. Version Control: Manage document versions and updates to keep documentation current with product changes. Implement effective version control practices to track changes and maintain document history. Quality Assurance: Review, edit, and proofread documents for accuracy, clarity, and completeness. Test product features and processes to ensure a thorough understanding of the material. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as English, Technical Writing, Computer Science, or Information Technology. Proven experience as a technical writer/ writing skills and interest. Strong understanding of IT products life cycle, software development, and technical concepts. Proficiency with documentation tools, such as Microsoft Word, Markdown, or industry-specific software. Experience with confluence is a plus but not essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality documentation.
