Mandatory Skills: Minimum experience and education requirements for MSA Senior Software Engineer (5) years experience developing Cognos cubes, and data modules, structures, dimensions, measures, and aggregations in Cognos Analytics including versions 11.0.x-12.0.x (5) years experience developing complex framework models in Cognos Analytics including versions 11.0.x-12.0.x (5) years experience developing complex reports and interactive dashboards in Cognos Analytics including versions 11.0.x-12.0.x (5) years experience in data warehousing and ETL processes and advanced SQL skills for querying and manipulating data Five (5) years experience with Oracle and MySQL environments and data structures Five (5) years experience with Oracle PL/SQL Expert-level knowledge of SQL, stored procedures, views, and triggers. Eight (8) years experience in Cognos report design and development. Five (5) years of experience in training developers, technical support staff, and end users to use various advanced features within the Cognos Analytics environment. Three (3) engagements/projects using the AGILE methodology approach Desirable Skills: This classification must have a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in electronic data processing systems study, design, and programming. At least four (4) years of that experience must have been in a lead capacity. This classification requires the possession of a bachelors degree in Database Design and Administration, Mathematics, Data Engineering, or a related field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. The substituted experience must be in addition to the required years of experience for each of the remaining minimum qualifications. Example: If the experience requirement is five (5) years, and the individual is substituting four (4) years of experience in lieu of a bachelors degree, a total of nine (9) years of experience is required.
