Oracle DBA Mongo DB Location: Holmdel, NJ. Currently Local candidates only. In office 2-3 days per week. Our Client Company (a Leading National Insurance Company) is actively seeking a passionate, driven Senior, Database Engineer to provide operational support for Client Company Database Systems, design and build database systems using automation in both data center and cloud platforms, including identifying build defects and create self-healing routines. You are: Seeking to work in a world class database technologist team where our mission is to Design, Build, Deliver, and Maintain database systems that are issue-free, always-on, highly secure, and peak performing. Able to assess issues quickly performing various database technics to restore performance and stability. A faced-paced learner who is eager to learn more about enterprise database technologies who has many of the desired technology competencies listed below. Must have skills: 10+ years of Oracle DBA experience Experience with Oracle RDBMS versions starting from 19c to 23ai. Experience with configuring and managing Active Dataguard, Physical Standby and Snapshot Standby environments. Familiarity with OUD (Oracle Unified Directory) authentication and integration with Microsoft AD. Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager Installation, configuration and patching activities. Experience with database migrations to cloud. scripting and automation experience Experience with RMAN backup and Restore procedures. Experience with Oracle patching, upgrades and other life-cycle activities. AWS/Cloud Services experience: EC2, RDS, and Aurora Cloud deployments experience: Jenkins, Bitbucket, Terraform Hands-on, technically adept DBA, capable of performing required DB tasks. Strong troubleshooting/performance tuning skills Ability to assess and improve query performance. Ability to Handle common database life cycle processes, such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc. Profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessary. Expert level Oracle version 19c, patching, troubleshooting, performance tracking/tuning, back-up/recovery, remote monitoring skills with hands-on experience in -large and very dynamic environments Strong commitment to following SDLC/Change-Management principles. Self-starter and be able to perform work with minimal supervisory direction. Knowledge of data quality, data management, and data testing strategies and practices Strong communication skills, both oral and written Strong experience working with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Zenoss or any other monitoring tool, Cloud monitoring tools (CloudWatch, CloudTrail), AppDynamics (or similar APM tool) Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Keen analytical and structured approach to problem solving. Ability to accommodate flexible work schedules. Desired skills: Ability to diagnose problems and triage/resolve issues across various tiers (application, network, database, server, or storage tiers) Ability to implement automation to reduce manual administrative tasks through use of jobs, scripts, cron, or other techniques. Experience in DB2 UDB, Oracle, Postgres, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, and/or Cassandra is plus. Experience with configuration management tools: SCCM; Puppet; or Ansible.
