If local FTF ROCHESTER HILLS, MI No H1B CONTRACTOR = QUALITY SOFTWARE AUDIT ENGINEERING Mon-Fri ONSITE a MUST. Length of assignment potentially thru year-end 2024 and beyond. Must know hands on and or understand Automotive background !! Summary Validation of software and hardware products developed and or marketed for brands to ensure that they fulfill product requirements as specified by both our internal and external customers. Preparation of product requirements specifications and validation test plans that adequately describe the product and provide a basis for consistent, repeatable testing of the product under test. Assisting software development engineers in populating databases specific to applications under development. Duties and Responsibilities Participating in team meetings to understand the validation test engineering needs of the program, and to obtain/determine actions. Analysis of application functional requirement. Development of Functional Test Plans. Performing of test plans. As required provide feedback to Engineering regarding product failures to meet functional or technical specifications, or product defects. Development of field installation guides for on-board systems. In-field support of installations. Job Qualifications Associates Degree or equivalent years of experience. Two years of experience in Automotive or Heavy Duty software development and/or test. Working knowledge of SAE J1708 / J1939. Familiarities with onboard diagnostic (OBD) systems and scan tools. Knowledge of electronic theory and basic circuit analysis. Basic PC skills including operating systems (MS Windows 95, 98, NT), MS Word, Excel, and Access Fundamental understanding of automotive and/or heavy duty truck engine, transmission and ABS operation. Good verbal and written communication skills.
