Requirement details : R ole: Senior Cloud FinOps Engineer Location: Dallas, TX ( Hybrid) Experience: 8+ Years Duration: Long term Rate: Max up to $48/hr on C2C Job Responsibilities: Strong Hands-on coding experience in Java, spring libraries, Apache Spark, Park Files on S3, Step Function, Rest connectors on Snowflake, Java, Springboot. Strong Hands-on experience with FinOps Frameworks, strategies, tools, chargeback/showback Models etc. Deep technical expertise across multiple technical domains including cloud computing, security, identity and access management and IT infrastructure Strong technical knowledge in designing, deploying and managing AWS / P Infrastructure security services (EC2, ELB, Guardduty, Config, Inspector, Security Hub, RDS, Route53, S3, vpc, vpn, tgw, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, eventbridge, etc.) using best practices. Analyze spend trends, find opportunities for savings and provide advisory services for improvement recommendations & good understanding on MS Excel functions to work with large data sets, and perform headcount reporting, planning and forecasting Optimize Cloud costs by defining / tracking cost plans, reserved Instances, enterprise saving plans and understanding of various best practices. Design, develop and maintain reports, Dashboards, and KPIs intended for Business Unit Leadership Support the cloud budget and monthly forecast process, collaborating with cross-functional teams Monitor cloud consumption, detect cost anomalies, perform root cause analysis, and escalate anomalies to top management Analyze and report cloud consumption across multiple cloud platforms and multiple Business Units and produce meaningful insights from our Cloud usage monitoring tool (Apptio, Cloudability) Provide financial analysis and guidance to calculate Unit Economics Assist and collaborate with cross-functional teams on each Digital / Business Unit on understanding their cloud spend and achieving their FinOps objectives Collaborate closely with Procurement in defining commitment discounts by aggregating for all of Organizations cloud needs across the CSP Work closely with Global Finance on how to accurately forecast cloud spends and how to evolve the budgeting and forecasting process and tooling as necessary Assist in creating training material, conduct training on Cloud FinOps for various teams and revamping the documentation Deliverables : -Process Flows -Mentor and Knowledge transfer to client project team members -Participate as primary, co and/or contributing author on any and all project deliverables associated with their assigned areas of responsibility -Participate in data conversion and data maintenance -Provide best practice and industry specific solutions -Advise on and provide alternative (out of the box) solutions -Provide thought leadership as well as hands on technical configuration/development as needed. -Participate as a team member of the functional team -Perform other duties as assigned.
