Prepares and annotates variance reports. Works with operating plans to create supporting financial forecasts and budgets. Performs research to understand the accounting consequences of alternative approaches. Role requires a thorough knowledge of accounting and finance principles, excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present financial analysis to management. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel/Word software and have a working knowledge of popular financial management applications. Competencies: Finance and Accounting Experience (Years): 4-6 Essential Skills: - Strong accounting skills and knowledge of US GAAP- Strong Excel skills (pivots, vlookups)- Data management skills- Experience with automated accounting functions- Thorough knowledge of accounting and finance principles- Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to present financial analysis to management- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel/Word software - Working knowledge of popular financial management applications. Desirable Skills: - Data modeling skills (preferred)- Past accounting experience within a banking environment- SQL query experience- IFRS accounting knowledge- Experience with Temenos (T24)- Bilingual in Spanish is a strong plus .
