Position Title: Hardware Lab Operations Specialist Duration: 6-12 Months Experience Level: 4 to 10+ years Onsite for below Multiple Locations: Texas: Austin California: Folsom, Santa Clara Massachusetts: Hudson Oregon: Hillsboro & Jones Farm 1,2 Washinton: Ridgepointe Job description: Manage day-to-day operations of the site like Lab space planning, organizing/re-organizing, structuring and all maintenance programs and services Tracking of all lab assets, including Capital assets and lab consumables in respective tools. Maintain inventory cupboards, inventory room, and storages as per 6S standards. Maintain safe stock of lab consumable items and rework components. Perform return to vendor for non-conforming materials and scrap materials based on operations request, recording appropriately in the tool. Supporting lab consumable and Capital ordering for all teams. Proper handling of hazardous, recycle materials. Managing the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) support and exchange process for boards. Identifying and scraping material through proper methodologies as requested. Perform full audits as requested. Identifying areas of improvement or risk regarding work tasks and making recommendations to lab management or staff as appropriate. Lab reconfiguration including bench/rack relocation. Lab Manager to track & review monthly performance indicators. Ensures the facility procedures and policies comply with all regulations in each applicable jurisdiction (e.g., local, state, federal, national, Foreign Trade Zone). Strong ability to multi-task and coordinate multiple requirements simultaneously. Performing pickup and delivery of hardware within the site or between sites, fulfilling contracted task requests, and managing customer order deliveries. Regularly lifting various assets using moving equipment such as carts, dollies, hand trucks, forklifts and mechanical lifts to safely handle and transport items. Due to the nature of the lab work, Candidate must be willing to help move devices associated with their work. Additionally, rack and stack systems require heavy lifting. Hence, the Candidate must be not only willing, but physically capable of moving items of large size. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
