Role: SAS Architect Location: Whippany, NJ Onsite Duration: 6+ Months Job Description: Ability to troubleshoot issues and queries reported from Business community on Production SAS processes, do troubleshooting analysis and apply code fixes for issues reported. Strong communication skills to participate in meetings. Be familiar with SQL with a relational database - preferably Oracle. Knowledge of SAS and prior exposure to development and production support of SAS processes. Strong communication skills to participate in meetings. Assist in Production monitoring of SAS servers and processes - Be able to understand code and perform Production code fixes - Be familiar with SQL with a relational database - preferably Oracle Hands-on experience on SAS EBI suite Hands-on experience on working in Unix/Linux and scripting Responsible for Monitoring, reporting, and controlling SAS Server usage Good debugging skills to identify issues in Data and at Infrastructure level. Can describe existing technology infrastructure across all major functions/departments and has a comprehensive grasp of emerging technologies: Has a competent understanding of safe and effective support practices Has Grid architecture background to help with L3 support for SAS platform Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications: Hands on experience in SAS BI on SAS 9.2, SAS 9.4 Grid platforms, including SAS Connect, SAS/Intranet Server, SAS OLAP Server, SAS Metadata Server, SAS Object Spawner Knowledge on tuning the SAS Enterprise Business Intelligence Server Platform to optimize the Server Performance Experience with databases like Oracle. Strong understanding of software languages, platforms, tools, ITIL framework and methodologies such as SDLC and agile Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications: Experience in migrating SAS Enterprise Server to SAS Grid in Linux environment.
