Job Description: Position Overview: The candidates need to have experience with both Illumio and Palo Alto As an Illumio Microsegmentation Advanced Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in implementing and supporting microsegmentation solutions using Illumios technology stack. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and clients to design, deploy, and maintain microsegmentation policies that enhance network security and streamline operations. This role requires a strong foundation in networking, security principles, and hands-on experience with Illumios products. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand security requirements and translate them into effective microsegmentation policies using Illumios technology. Design and architect micro-segmentation solutions that align with best practices and organizational goals. Implement policies across various network environments while ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations. Implement upgrades to Illumio. Provide expert-level support for troubleshooting issues related to micro-segmentation policies and configurations. Perform root cause analysis for incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. Installation and monitoring of any new Micro-seg tooling agents and their ongoing operational support. Document system configuration and any changes in the configurations. Consult on and be accountable for the Change Mgmt. life cycle as it pertains to Illumio; including the assessment and determination of impact, benefits, dependencies, procedures, and outages. Provide execution support for changes, Third-Party integrations, and Third-Party support. Conduct process review and vulnerability impact for Common Vulnerabilities Exposure (CVE). Review network threat analytics of the environment and outliers and provide recommendations for policy updates. Update policy to incorporate new servers into existing app policy configurations. Create and analyze whitelist policy framework and guidance for policy enforcement. Document all aspects of micro-segmentation policies, configurations, and procedures for internal use. Include the development of documentation of operational runbook(s) or SoP(s). Develop training materials and conduct sessions to educate stakeholders on micro-segmentation concepts and best practices. Review API/Data Platform Integrations; respond as required. Produce App Dependency mapping Policy Export Report. Stay updated with the latest advancements in micro-segmentation technologies and recommend improvements to existing policies and processes. Proactively identify opportunities to enhance network security and operational efficiency through micro-segmentation. Qualifications: Certification in network security (e.g., CISSP, CCSP) is highly desirable. Proven experience in designing and implementing micro-segmentation solutions using Illumio or similar technologies. Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and security best practices. Experience in troubleshooting complex network and security issues. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Flexibility in working hours to accommodate project timelines and client needs.
