(100% onsite) Duration: 12+ months contract Position Description: We are seeking to hire a Senior SQL Server DBA to join this critical project as a SQL Database Administrator! With your required expertise, you will work with a hard-working client-based and client-facing team. Duties and responsibilities: Perform implementations, plan, test, troubleshoot, and manage database related issues Perform installs, configurations, and maintenance of SQL Servers for a healthcare database environment as part of one or more projects, including providing high security of protected health information, review and investigate issues with production applications, evaluate and identify operational issues within the databases. Work on tickets and monitors all databases. Accommodate user requests for access, change requests, scripts and responding to performance issues for related database servers. Required qualifications: At least 10+ years of shown experience with Microsoft SQL Server, versions 2008 - 2019 with a Solid grasp in DBA concepts. T-SQL (scripting, stored procedures, triggers, query development) Experience with Clustering/Always On technology (Log Shipping, Replication, and High Availability). Provide Database and SQL Performance Analysis (Index Management and Query Plan Assessment). Hands-on experience in SQL planning, upgrades migrations, implementations, and installs for various SQL Server versions including 2005, 2008, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019. Solve and RCA experience, Incident Management. Knowledge and Experience with Best Practices and Standards. Understanding of SQL monitoring tools (Idera, Spotlight, SCOM, Zabbix, SQL Sentry, Foglight, SolarWinds). Experience with ETL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, OLAP, OLTP. Solid grasp of Security and User Management, Backup/Recovery and Disaster Recovery Procedures. Multiple Data Center management, migrations and support. Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. Non-Technical Attributes: Good Interpersonal and Communications Skills Capable of working independently and in a team Ability to meet SLAs set forth by customers/clients.
