Role :: Azure Data Engineer with Microsoft Fabric Location :: Newark , NJ (Hybrid Onsite) Duration :: 12 Months Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Fabric to join our dynamic data engineering team. The successful candidate will design, implement, and manage scalable, high-performance data solutions on Azure, leveraging Microsoft Fabric's cutting-edge tools and services. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, business analysts, and software developers, to ensure efficient data integration, transformation, and analysis. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Microsoft Fabric. Develop, optimize, and manage data storage solutions, including Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Cosmos DB. Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance using Azure Purview and other relevant tools. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze data requirements and translate them into scalable solutions. Utilize Microsoft Fabric to build and manage modern data workflows, analytics, and reporting platforms. Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance through monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization. Stay up to date with new Azure services and features, providing recommendations for continuous improvement. Develop automation scripts using Power or Azure CLI to streamline operations and deployments. Work closely with DevOps teams to integrate data pipelines with CI/CD processes. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, preferably working with Azure cloud technologies. Strong experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Power BI, and other Azure services. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and integrating it into data engineering workflows. Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other scripting languages used for data processing. Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and data lake architectures. Experience with Azure DevOps and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or ARM Templates. Familiarity with data security standards, including GDPR and HIPAA. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Preferred Skills: Certification in Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or similar. Experience with machine learning workflows on Azure. Knowledge of data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau. Experience with Azure Machine Learning and AI services.
