One of our clients is looking for ELK Stack Expert Developer Data Observability Platform (Remote) Location Remote Experience 10+ Years Job description: Key Responsibilities: Design & Implement Data Observability Platform : Architect, deploy, and maintain an observability platform using Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana (ELK Stack), and Grafana. Data Ingestion & Transformation : Develop efficient pipelines for ingesting logs, metrics, and events using Logstash, Beats, or other tools to collect data from multiple sources. Search & Indexing : Optimize Elasticsearch indices for fast data querying and retrieval, ensuring scalability and performance for large datasets. Monitoring & Alerting : Set up advanced dashboards in Grafana to visualize system health, performance metrics, and application logs. Configure alerts for potential issues in infrastructure or application performance. Performance Optimization : Continuously monitor the performance of Elasticsearch clusters and optimize indexing, querying, and resource utilization. Integration : Integrate the observability platform with other tools such as Prometheus, Kubernetes, or cloud services for seamless data flow and real-time monitoring. Data Security & Compliance : Implement security best practices in Elasticsearch to ensure data integrity, protection, and compliance with organizational policies. Collaboration : Work closely with DevOps, SRE, and other engineering teams to ensure the observability platform meets the evolving needs of the business. Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in software engineering or DevOps, with a strong focus on Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana. Proven experience building and optimizing data pipelines with Logstash and Beats. Deep expertise in Elasticsearch, including indexing, query optimization, and cluster management. Proficiency with Grafana for building real-time dashboards and visualizations. Strong understanding of data observability, monitoring, and alerting principles. Experience integrating Grafana with Elasticsearch, Prometheus, or similar data sources. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Knowledge of system monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Nagios, Zabbix). Excellent problem-solving skills, especially in optimizing search and monitoring large datasets. Knowledge of security protocols and best practices within ELK and Grafana systems. Preferred Skills: Experience with other monitoring tools like Datadog, Splunk, or New Relic. Familiarity with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Docker. Hands-on experience with SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) solutions.
