The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining and developing COBOL applications, especially in the healthcare or insurance sectors, with a focus on claims processing. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using COBOL/400 on the AS400 platform. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions. Work with Synon to create and maintain applications. Manage and support Rx Claims systems, ensuring accurate processing and reporting. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner. Perform system analysis, debugging, and enhancements as required. Ensure code quality, adherence to standards, and best practices in software development. Provide technical support and documentation throughout the development lifecycle. Top Skills & Experience: Proven experience with COBOL/400 and AS400 platform. Hands-on experience with Synon programming. Strong understanding of Rx Claims and claims processing in the healthcare or insurance domain. Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage time effectively. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with healthcare or insurance systems, particularly in claims processing. Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and environments. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
