Please have a look and let me know if you are interested Title: Java Developer with Strong DevOps Skills and AWS Location: 100% Remote Duration: 12 months contract + extensions Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 7+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on Java. 5+ years of experience with AWS cloud services, architecture, and management. Proven experience in a Site Reliability Engineering role, including designing and implementing reliable and scalable systems. Proficient in Java development, including frameworks such as Spring Boot and Hibernate. Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible). Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS Code Pipeline. Familiarity with containerization, imaging, and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Solid understanding of networking, security, and cloud best practices. Good knowledge on monitoring principles (Whitebox, Blackbox, synthetic, golden signals) Be available to take on call when situation demands (to resolve complex issues and to know operational challenges) Ability to identify toil and automate using any programming language (Python, Go, Rust) or build tools. Preferred Qualifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or similar certifications. Experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog. Knowledge of serverless architectures, system internals (unix/Linux), and AWS Lambda. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
