Senior Technical Architect (AWS Cloud and Databricks) Location: Seattle, WA (Onsite) Mode : Full Time Minimum 14 years of experience Required Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Architect with a deep understanding of AWS Cloud and Databricks to join our team in Seattle. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a proven track record of designing, implementing, and optimizing complex data platforms. You will play a pivotal role in driving the adoption of cloud technologies and big data solutions within our organization. Responsibilities: Lead the design and architecture of cloud-based data platforms, leveraging AWS services and Databricks to build scalable and resilient solutions. Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into robust technical designs. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle. Ensure adherence to cloud best practices, security, and compliance standards. Develop and maintain architectural roadmaps and standards. Conduct proof-of-concept (PoC) and pilot projects to evaluate new technologies and solutions. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in cloud computing and big data technologies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud technologies. Proven expertise in designing and implementing data platforms on AWS, including EC2, S3, EMR, Redshift, and other relevant services. Deep understanding of Databricks architecture, including Delta Lake, Spark, and MLflow. Strong knowledge of data engineering principles, data warehousing, and data modeling. Experience with data integration, ETL/ELT processes, and data quality management. Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Scala) and SQL. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment. Preferred Qualifications: AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer, DevOps) Databricks Certified Professional Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
