Role: Java Production support Location: San Jose, CA (Only Locals or from PST) Duration: Contract Experience: 10+ years Visa: Only H1B with PP number Role Description: Responsibilities: Monitor and maintain production systems to ensure their availability and performance. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to Java-based applications. Provide on-call support to respond to critical incidents. Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to address application bugs and enhancements. Perform root cause analysis for recurring production issues and implement preventive measures. Ensure proper documentation of issues, solutions, and application changes. Support code deployments, configuration changes, and system upgrades. Automate repetitive tasks and monitoring activities to enhance system efficiency. Assist in performance tuning and optimization of Java applications. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. 3+ years of experience in Java production support or application support roles. Strong understanding of Java, J2EE architecture, and related technologies. Experience with troubleshooting Java application errors, logs, and performance bottlenecks. Proficiency in SQL and database management (e.g., Oracle, MySQL). Familiarity with production monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics). Knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and scripting. Experience with version control tools like Git and CI/CD processes. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
