Hybrid: Once a month, PA.

(Local to PA Candidates with Proof)

Duration: 12 months

Visa: USC/GC Only

Job Overview:

The ServiceNow ITOM Functional Lead will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the functional and business processes related to IT Operations Management (ITOM) within the ServiceNow platform. This individual will provide strategic and hands-on guidance to align ITOM capabilities with the businesss operational needs. The role will include leading development initiatives, coordinating technical tasks, and ensuring that all project deliverables meet client and user expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

ServiceNow ITOM Leadership:

Lead ITOM projects and act as a subject matter expert (SME) for IT Operations Management modules, such as Event Management, Discovery, Orchestration, Cloud Management, and Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

Requirements Gathering & Documentation:

Work closely with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements related to ITOM. Ensure business objectives align with ServiceNow capabilities.

Process Improvement:

Design, implement, and optimize ITOM processes to improve efficiency, reduce risks, and enhance operational capabilities. Ensure all processes are ITIL-compliant and aligned with best practices.

Development Coordination:

Collaborate with developers and technical teams to lead development efforts related to ITOM, ensuring that technical solutions are executed seamlessly and align with documented requirements.

ServiceNow Configuration:

Oversee the configuration and customization of ServiceNow ITOM modules to ensure they meet the organizations requirements. Work closely with ServiceNow developers and administrators to ensure proper module setup.

Testing & Deployment:

Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), ensure quality assurance standards are met, and manage deployment of ITOM-related features or updates in ServiceNow.

Training & User Support:

Provide training and support to end-users on ServiceNow ITOM functionalities. Ensure that users understand how to leverage the platform for their operational needs.

Project Management:

Lead ITOM-related projects from inception through completion, ensuring timelines and objectives are met. Provide regular status updates to key stakeholders and resolve project issues as they arise.

Integration Oversight:

Ensure smooth integration of ServiceNow ITOM with other tools and systems within the organization, such as cloud management platforms, network monitoring tools, and CMDB.

Required Qualifications:

Certification:

ServiceNow ITOM Certified Professional (required).

Experience:

5+ years of experience in ServiceNow ITOM or a related IT operations role.

Strong experience with ITOM modules, including Event Management, Discovery, Orchestration, Cloud Management, and CMDB.

Previous experience leading ServiceNow implementation or development projects.

Technical Skills:

In-depth understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities.

Experience working with REST APIs and web services for integrations.

Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Power) for automation and customizations.

Business Process Skills:

Solid knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.

Proven ability to document business and technical requirements.

Soft Skills:

Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently and lead teams in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional ServiceNow certifications (e.g., ServiceNow System Administrator, Certified Implementation Specialist).

Experience in large-scale ITOM implementations.

Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
