Job Description:- Job Role:- Solutions Architect Location :- FULLY REMOTE Contract Job Description Job Description: As a Solution Architect with a focus on data and analytics platform modernization, your role will be crucial in transforming our data infrastructure to better serve the growing and changing needs of our organization. With your deep expertise in architectural design and practical experience with tools including Databricks and Azure, you will lead the deployment of advanced solutions that enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and overall innovation. You will leverage your existing skills to develop leading-edge data management strategies, oversee the modernization across the entire data lifecycle, and promote the integration of enterprise data solutions. Your contributions will involve refining complex data architecture and focusing on executing multiple strategic initiatives that incorporate best practices in data modernization. Top 5-7 MUST HAVE SKILLS/TECH: 7-10 year experience directly supporting the design and development of data modernization initiatives. Hands-on experience with Databricks and Azure, including implementation using Unity Catalog. Experience in platform modernization projects and implementation. Deep understanding of components of data and analytics (building data platforms, data platform management, data extraction, data secuirty, UI/UX presentation, and generative AI). Strong technical curiosity and a proactive approach to exploring emerging technologies and features. Excellent soft skills: proactivity, go-getter mentality, independence, technical curiosity, and a highly collaborative nature. Lead and facilitate technical conversations with stakeholders. Responsibilities: Serve as a Solutions Data Architect, taking ownership of the platform modernization project from inception to execution and collaborate with delivery and platform teams to evaluate and propose solutions, providing overall architectural strategy and design to ensure project goals are met. Utilize deep understanding of Databricks and Azure to architect and implement solutions, with a focus on leveraging Unity Catalog for seamless integration. Lead all phases of the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to deployment and optimization. Drive platform modernization initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices. Architect data platforms using a combination of technologies such as Databricks, Unity, Airflow, Reltio, and Data Catalog to build robust and scalable infrastructures. Oversee data management activities, including organization, optimization, and the implementation of data management tools to streamline processes. Implement robust data security measures to safeguard sensitive information and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Apply your expertise in Medallion Architecture to transform raw data into curated data products, enhancing decision-making capabilities across the organization. Be hands-on with technologies like Databricks to determine capabilities, conducting test cases, and addressing theoretical and strategic considerations for their use in the platform. Demonstrate strong soft skills, including proactivity, initiative, technical curiosity, and a collaborative mindset, to drive cross-functional teamwork and innovation. Lead and facilitate technical conversations with stakeholders, documenting decisions and architectures concisely for non-technical audiences. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Proven experience working as an Architect, preferably in a Principal Architect role. Hands-on experience with Databricks and Azure is essential, with a demonstrated ability to implement Databricks using Unity Catalog. Extensive experience in platform modernization projects and implementation, with a track record of successful delivery. Proficiency in building data platforms and managing data infrastructure using technologies such as Databricks, Unity, Airflow, Reltio, and Data Catalog. Strong understanding of data management principles, including data organization, optimization, and the use of data management tools. Expertise in data security practices and experience implementing robust security measures. Familiarity with Medallion Architecture is highly desirable. Excellent soft skills, including proactivity, initiative, technical curiosity, and a collaborative mindset. Deep understanding of components of data and analytics, including data platform management and data extraction.
