Developer

Location:
San
Antonio, TX or NYC, NY (Only Locals)

Role Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, configure, and enhance
Guidewire applications (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter) based on
business requirements.

Work with business analysts, project
managers, and business stakeholders to define requirements and translate
them into technical specifications.

Design and implement customizations to
Guidewire applications using Gosu, Guidewire Studio, and related tools.

Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex
application issues.

Ensure the Guidewire systems meet
performance, security, and scalability standards.

Collaborate with QA teams to ensure the
quality and accuracy of system changes and improvements.

Provide technical support and guidance
during the Guidewire system implementation phases.

Stay updated with Guidewire platform
upgrades, new releases, and best practices.

Work within Agile/Scrum methodologies to
meet project timelines and deliverables.

Create and maintain system
documentation, including design specifications and test plans.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science,
Information Technology, or a related field.

3+ years of experience working as a
Guidewire Developer.

Strong knowledge of the Guidewire
Insurance Suite, including PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter.

Proficiency in Guidewire scripting
language Gosu, Guidewire Studio, and J2EE architecture.

Experience with Guidewire DataHub and
InfoCenter is a plus.

Familiarity with XML, GUnit,
SOAP/RESTful web services, and related technologies.

Knowledge of relational databases (e.g.,
SQL, Oracle) and experience with ETL tools.

Strong problem-solving skills and
ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication skills, both
written and verbal.

Experience with Agile development
methodologies.

Guidewire certification (e.g.,
PolicyCenter Specialist, BillingCenter Specialist) is preferred.
