We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Quality Tester with experience using GenRocket for synthetic data generation. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across our systems. You will work closely with developers, data engineers, and business analysts to test and validate data quality using automated testing frameworks and synthetic data solutions like GenRocket. Your expertise will help drive the integrity and trustworthiness of data in our analytics and decision-making processes. Key Responsibilities: Test Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies for ensuring data quality in various databases, data pipelines, and ETL processes. Work with stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure alignment with business needs. Data Quality Testing: Perform data validation, accuracy, completeness, and integrity checks on large datasets. Conduct end-to-end testing of data flows from source systems to target systems (data warehouses, databases, etc.). Test and validate data transformations in ETL processes. Identify data discrepancies and inconsistencies, reporting and tracking defects. Synthetic Data Generation using GenRocket: Design and create synthetic datasets using GenRocket for testing various scenarios and edge cases. Integrate GenRocket with the existing automation testing framework. Develop, configure, and maintain data generation rules and test data repositories for automated testing purposes. Automation Testing: Build and maintain automated data quality test scripts using tools like Selenium, JMeter, or other relevant test automation tools. Automate data validation checks across different layers (data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time streams). Collaboration: Collaborate with Data Engineers, Business Analysts, and Development Teams to ensure high data quality standards across the organization. Work closely with QA and DevOps teams to streamline continuous testing in CI/CD pipelines. Reporting: Document test cases, testing procedures, and results. Generate data quality reports and communicate test findings to the team and stakeholders. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field. Proven experience as a Data Quality Tester or similar role, with expertise in testing large datasets. Hands-on experience with GenRocket or other synthetic data generation tools. Experience with SQL and other database technologies (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.). Familiarity with ETL processes, data lakes, and data warehouses. Experience with automation testing tools (Selenium, JMeter, or similar). Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. Knowledge of data governance, data management practices, and quality assurance principles. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. Preferred Skills: Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab for test automation. Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for automation. Familiarity with data visualization tools for reporting (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.).
