Position: Business Intelligence Analyst Location: TX (Only local consultant) Experience: 10+ above Job Description: **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop, maintain, and improve reporting mechanisms, ensuring best practices for Business Intelligence report writing. - Perform detailed business, system, and data analysis to support reporting improvements and decision-making processes. - Create various types of reports tailored to the needs of the business, leveraging insights from financial and operational data. - Utilize PeopleSoft for reporting, ensuring accuracy and adherence to organizational and state requirements. - Support the financial and budgetary processes of the State of Texas, particularly through CAPPS (Centralized Accounting and Payroll/Personnel System). - Present complex financial and system-related information to users and stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner. - Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure reporting aligns with business objectives. - Troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues, ensuring data integrity and timely delivery. **Minimum Requirements:** - **8+ years** of experience in Business Intelligence report writing with a strong understanding of best practices. - **8+ years** of experience in business, system, and data analysis and improvement, with a focus on financial reporting. - **8+ years** of experience developing various reporting mechanisms across different platforms. - **8+ years** of experience working with PeopleSoft. - **8+ years** of experience in Texas state budget and finance processes, particularly through the use of CAPPS. - Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. - Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-technical users and stakeholders. **Preferred Qualifications:** - **7+ years** of experience working with TCAPPS (Texas CAPPS) PeopleSoft. - **5+ years** of experience in TCAPPS Financials modules, including implementation or post-go-live experience with an emphasis on reporting activities. - **5+ years** of knowledge in TCAPPS configurations and budgetary structures. - Familiarity with TCAPPS Budget and Reporting policies and business processes. **Desired Skills:** - Analytical thinker with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable solutions. - Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize based on business needs. - Strong collaboration skills, working effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Proficiency in data visualization tools to present information in a visually compelling way.
