Network Engineer III Visa: USC/GC WORK ARRANGEMENT: 60-80% Remote [in Wisconsin]. 1-2 days at client location above per week. On-call support once a month (very low call volume historically). The candidate must be a current Wisconsin resident (NO RELOCATIONS) at the time of submission (remaining in Wisconsin for the duration of the contract). The Senior Network Engineer will provide strategic planning, innovative solutions, and advanced technical knowledge to design, implement, and support enterprise voice, video, and data services that align with the companys business and IT objectives. This position requires hands-on technical leadership and project management from initiation to completion for voice, video, and data infrastructure within complex engineering environments. The Senior Network Engineer will work closely with other business units to define requirements and develop an architecture for scalable and reliable network infrastructure to meet current and future business needs. Required Skills: (Need Majority) Cisco Router/Switch - 5 Years minimum Cloud Networking - Azure preferred - 5 years Palo Alto Firewall - 3 years Cisco Wireless - 3 years Nice to Have Skills SolarWinds Python Education / Certifications: Minimum Education: Some college education in IT-related or relevant work experience. Preferred Certifications: CCNA or CompTIA N+; CCNP preferred. Minimum Experience: 5 years in IT-related field. Supervisory Experience: N/A. Job Duties: Network Installation and Maintenance (25%) o Installation, maintenance, and enhancement of a global Cisco wired and wireless network delivering voice, video, and data services on corporate production and guest networks. o Skills: Palo Alto, Cisco 9K Wireless, VOIP, Cisco ISE, Cisco Prime DNAC, Ekahau. Network Changes Coordination (25%) o Independently coordinate and implement low to high-risk network changes according to the ITIL framework. o Skills: Cloud environments experience, process/guideline writing. Standards and Procedures Development (20%) o Assist in developing standards, policies, and configuration guidelines. Establish and document standards and procedures for team review. o Skills: Python, SolarWinds. After-Hours Support (10%) o Perform work outside of regular business hours, including on-call incident escalation and off-hours maintenance work. Perimeter Network Security (5%) o Work closely with the Milwaukee County Security Team to maintain Palo Alto firewalls following best practices and recommended policies. Azure Cloud Network Development (15%) o Experienced in Azure cloud, working on building and finalizing the network framework. Work Schedule: Regular shifts, with infrequent overtime or weekend shifts. On-call availability required. o One week a month, very minimal calls expected. On-call will not be paid. Interview Process: Microsoft Teams: Candidates must have a video setup, a reliable internet connection, and the ability to screen share and explain a personal or professional project.
