Kindly find the below-mentioned job description and if interested, share your updated resume at [email protected] Role: FinOps Engineer Location: Washington, DC-hybrid(1-2 days a week) so we need people from DC, MD, VA, and DE only Job type: long-term contract Job Description: Develop and implement FinOps strategies to optimize cloud spending across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including but not limited to monitoring and analyzing cloud usage patterns to identify areas for optimization Assist in the design, improvement and enforcement of cloud governance policies and best practices Assist in the management of cloud financial reporting, including cost allocation, show-back, and chargeback systems and forecasting models Collaborate with various teams to identify cost-saving opportunities, asset management strategies and improve cloud resource utilization Provide expert guidance on cloud cost optimization and governance to stakeholders at all levels Stay current with the latest cloud technologies, FinOps practices, and industry best practices Organize and document technical requirements and create technical design specifications sizing technical requirements related to incoming infrastructure requests Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field 8+ years of experience in cloud technologies, with a focus on AWS and Azure 3+ years of experience in FinOps, cloud cost optimization, and governance FinOps Certified Practitioner preferred but not required Experience with cloud management and FinOps tools (e.g., Apptio, Cloudability, CloudHealth, etc) Must have a strong understanding of AWS & Azure Cloud resources Strong understanding of cloud pricing models and cost management strategies Successful experience with managing multiple projects supporting multiple internal customers concurrently Proven track record of implementing successful FinOps and governance initiatives. In-depth knowledge of AWS, Azure, and GCP services, pricing models, and best practices Strong understanding of cloud financial management principles and FinOps practices, such as FinOps Framework.
