From: Prabhat, VYZEINC [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Description - Job title-Web & Application Administrator Location -Location: Remote Duration- 12 months MUST- Security Clearance: Active DOD Security Clearance Required Job Description: This fully remote role focuses on assisting enterprise application owners with the migration and sustainment of their systems on Microsoft Azure (DOD). You will provide a wide range of web and application administration services, ensuring the successful deployment and ongoing management of cloud-hosted applications. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) in web and application administration, assessing current architectures and developing new ones for deployment in Microsoft Azure, with a focus on cloud-native services. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate high-level objectives into technical requirements. Design, build, and implement web and application infrastructure for customer applications. Perform ongoing support, including installation, configuration, patching, system hardening, and SSL certificate management. Work closely with developers to coordinate project releases and deployments. Troubleshoot and resolve reported issues and provide technical guidance. Identify opportunities for new cloud services and recommend improvements in security, scalability, manageability, and performance. Qualifications: Bachelors degree with 12+ years of experience or Masters degree with 10+ years of experience in a related field. Mid to senior-level experience with SQL web and application tier administration, using tools like IIS, Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, or JBOSS. Knowledge of Linux and Windows Server administration. Experience managing large-scale projects and building CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with tools like Gitlab and Azure DevOps Server. Desired experience with Kubernetes, Containers, and automating routine administrative tasks. Knowledge of network, storage, server, and application technologies. Strong proficiency in automation tools (Power, Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef, etc.). Understanding of DoD STIGs, IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM), and security best practices. CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent IA certification) and relevant computing environment certification (e.g., MCSA SQL Server).
