Position: Sr. Network Engineer with Cisco Nexus & Palo Alto exp (Remote) Location: El Segundo, CA, 90245 (95% Remote) Duration : 6 months Job Description : MUST HAVES (Tell us about your experience with the following) Yes and No will not work, Please answer properly: 1. Routing and switching with Cisco Nexus 2. Layer 3 tech, BGP, yet OSPE or HSRP is fine. 3. Palo Alto Firewall in depth, expert level 4. Panorama Virtual Appliance (almost a must, as long as you are an expert in configuring Palo Alto) 5. F5 Load Balancers is also a plus (we can train) 6. VMWare Networking 7. Cisco UCS Cyber Interconnect. JOB DESCRIPTION: This role will oversee and manage all aspects of the network infrastructure including but not limited to: - Corporate Office Networking including LAN, WLAN and WAN Datacenter Networking Technologies Datacenter Storage Area Networking Network Security Technologies Enterprise Wide Public Cloud Networking in AWS Third party connectivity e.g. VPNs Expectations of the Senior Network Engineer include: - Provide 3rd level technical support for our LAN/WAN, Wireless & Security technologies. Someone with great planning skills especially when it comes to more complex changes which could potentially cause an outage. To be innovative and somebody who Initiates and influences opportunities for improvement. Sets a good example to the team and has a positive can do attitude. Documents work in a professional manner. Takes pride in their work and has attention to detail. Follows strict change management procedures. Somebody with excellent communication skills. Has a passion for networking and actively tries to stay current with the latest networking technologies. Somebody who has the flexibility to perform a wide range of work. Network engineering experience within a large server environment. Experience in cloud computing concepts particularly in relation to networking and security REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES WILL INCLUDE: A solid routing and switching background e.g. experience with Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, ASR, ISR equipment. Knowledge and experience of Layer 3 technologies e.g. OSPF, BGP and HSRP. Knowledge of experience of layer 2 technologies e.g. Spanning-tree, VPCs. Palo alto firewall and Panorama configuration for all aspects of security policies, application filters, security profiles, URL Filtering, SSL Decryption, Site-to-Site VPN and Global protect VPN configurations. Extensive knowledge of device-groups and templates also required. Advanced administration of F5 BIG IP. This includes F5 Networking, LTM virtual server creation, web redirects, SSL certification management, irules, advanced load balancing, advanced health monitors, security configurations on AFM, F5 network, VCMP etc. Troubleshooting application flows with app developers, good understanding on how to use TCPDUMP and Wireshark etc. to troubleshoot suspected network issues. Coordination, deployment, and rotation of public and private SSL certificates for infrastructure and public facing resources Experience with Cisco Unified Computing and how to manage the UCSM Good understanding of VMware Networking and experience troubleshooting the network and storage connectivity with the Fabric Interconnects Responsible for Management and Maintenance both internal and external DNS including all A records, CNAMEs, MX records, SPF, etc. AWS networking and security experience e.g. VPCs, NACLs, security groups, route tables, elastic load balancers, direct connect, transit gateway, route 53 SKILLS WHICH ARE ADVANTAGEOUS BUT NOT REQUIRED Knowledge and experience of Cisco ACI, e.g. experience managing APIC, L3outs, contracts, bridge domains, EPGs, VMM integration, switch profiles etc Management and maintenance of Cisco UC environment. This includes Cisco Voice server/applications -- CUCM, Unity, voice gateway, Cube, SIP circuits, POTS lines, DIDs etc Experience with network tools such as LiveAction and Netbrain Knowledge and experience with Cisco ISE in respect to device administration e.g. AAA and TACACS+ Experience with Cisco MDS administration specifically around zoning. Experience with Cisco Meraki switches and Meraki wireless access points. Knowledge and experience with Palo alto Prisma Access.
