Role: Lead Java Developer with Python Location: San Antonio, TX (Only Locals) Duration: Contract Experience: 10+ years Note: P&C insurance domain in Recent project is must Visa: Only H1B with Passport Number Role Description: Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex Java-based applications in the P&C Insurance domain. Architect, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, testers, and product owners to ensure smooth delivery of projects. Implement best practices in coding, testing, and DevOps to ensure high-quality software. Analyze business requirements and design solutions that meet customer needs while aligning with company goals. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior developers and team members. Leverage Python for various integrations, automation scripts, and data processing tasks. Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of issues in a timely manner. Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, particularly in the insurance domain. Work closely with stakeholders to ensure that software solutions meet the evolving needs of the business. Ensure adherence to security and compliance requirements within the P&C insurance industry. Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in Java development, with a proven track record in delivering large-scale applications. 2+ years of experience with Python, particularly in scripting, automation, or integrations. Prior experience in the P&C insurance domain is required. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), design patterns, and software development principles. Proven experience in leading software development teams and delivering projects on time. Expertise in Spring, Hibernate, and other relevant Java frameworks. Hands-on experience with RESTful API development and microservices architecture. Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git). Solid understanding of databases (SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
