[email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Hi, Need Only GC/ USC Job Title: Senior Finance and Billing Team Lead Location: Nebraska, USA Industry: Construction & Railroad Experience: 20+ Years Key Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and manage a finance and billing team to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports and billing activities. Oversee day-to-day operations, set performance targets, and foster professional development within the team. Develop and implement long-term financial strategies aligned with the company's goals. Perform in-depth financial analysis to guide decision-making and drive profitability. Ensure accurate and timely generation of bills and invoices. Manage the end-to-end billing process, including revenue recognition, client account reconciliation, and the resolution of discrepancies. Oversee annual budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure cost control. Provide financial reports to the executive team, highlighting potential financial risks and opportunities. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations specific to the construction and railroad sectors, including GAAP standards and tax regulations. Oversee contract billing processes for complex, large-scale projects. Review and approve contracts to ensure they meet financial requirements. Collaborate with project managers to ensure the billing process aligns with project timelines and budgets. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts for management and stakeholders. Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights. Work closely with project managers, legal teams, and external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with project-specific billing requirements. Continuously identify opportunities to streamline and improve billing and finance processes. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA or CFA certification is highly preferred. 20+ years of experience in finance, accounting, and billing, with at least 10 years in a leadership role. Extensive experience in the construction and/or railroad industry is required. Deep understanding of financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting principles (GAAP). Strong knowledge of billing systems, ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and financial management tools. Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide financial insights and strategic recommendations.
