Position: Sr. Tools Engineer (Hybrid) Location: Coppell, TX (3 days Onsite/week) Duration : 6 months Job Description : About the job Some notes from hiring manager: Broad skill sets are best for their environment. Someone with a strong monitoring background would be ideal. They will be working with two vendors to do POC for their monitoring products so will be helping to evaluate the products and make a purchase decision. Must have excellent communication skills as they will need to collaborate and communicate with all the various teams that will be using the new monitoring system such as the architecture team, operations team and support teams, etc. Knowledge of ticket systems would be a plus they use ServiceNow and this new monitoring/alert system will need to be integrated with that eventually. Financial industry background would be especially helpful Someone who can help with the POC, implementation, integration, and operations of the monitoring system is ideal the golden candidate They will be doing synthetic monitoring so the ability to write scripts (especially with Python but any language is good) is required. Developing dashboards will be part of this job so if they havent done it, be willing to learn The attitude and experience learning on the job being self-taught, resourceful with a can-do attitude. Experience: 1)Must have 5 + years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training with an Enterprise Monitoring Tool like Splunk, Dynatrace, Zenoss, HP SiteScope, HP BSM and modern coding languages (Python, Power, JavaScript, Java, .Net, etc.) along with knowledge about Service Management, CMDB, DevOps, Agile, ITIL and GitLab. 2) Must have 2+ years experience developing application dashboards utilizing a monitoring tool. 3) Minimum 2+ years experience administering multiple monitoring systems 4) Strong Experience with Windows, Unix and Linux Systems 5) Experience with various modern application frameworks such as Microsoft Azure, AWS. 6) Ability to work with limited supervision, having significant latitude for independent judgment 7) High-Level communication skills to collaborate, influence, and persuade others 8) Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to create and present concepts and recommendations to senior management 9) Ability to adopt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs 10) Strong in use of business analysis tools such as, Microsoft office suite, visualization, and requirements management tools to interpret, condense, and communicate complex graphical and statistical information 11) Experience supporting Financial applications 12) Experience in some form of Financial Service industry 13) Experience with financial audits, SOX controls and other regulatory institutions and practices If you are interested, please share your updated resume and suggest the best number & time to connect with you.
