Job Description: Global Financial Systems Analyst Location: Chicago, IL (Local candidates only) Work Model: Onsite Shift: M-F & 9-5 Employment Type: Temp to Hire VISA: No H1/CPT/OPT Estimated Duration (In months): 6 Months Must Have Skills/Attributes: Accounting, JD Edwards, JDE, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Position Summary: The Global Financial Systems Analyst is a crucial contributor to the daily accounting and systems operations of our client. This position provides essential technical accounting and system support to the global finance team, closely collaborating with IT to ensure the seamless operation of financial systems, including JD Edwards 9.2, Planful, and BlackLine. The role focuses on enhancing efficiency in month-end close, reporting, and planning processes through innovative use of technology. Key Responsibilities: Support JD Edwards (JDE) financial administration, including period close and Chart of Accounts management. Maintain and monitor JDE system integrities and related reports. Configure JDE system setups for AAIs, DMAAIs, Flex Accounting, and cross-reference tables. Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for JDE systems, tracking issues through ServiceNow. Document processes and procedures to address JDE system challenges and provide training to the finance team. Collaborate in the development and enhancement of JDE and BlackLine processes and reports impacting finance operations. Act as system administrator for Planful Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and BlackLine close management tool. Support global usage of JDE, Planful, and BlackLine by providing guidance and training to the global finance team. Assist in fulfilling ad-hoc data extraction requests for audits and other business needs. Support additional finance-related technology tools such as PowerBi, SharePoint, Captaris, and Inspyrus. Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing systems and solving operational challenges. Perform other duties and projects as assigned. Required Skills and Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or IT within a corporate environment. Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, data analytics, or IT. Strong analytical and data management skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to learn and apply new technical concepts effectively. Exceptional organizational and time management abilities. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficiency with JD Edwards 9.2 and Microsoft Office suite. Understanding of accounting and finance concepts and reporting requirements. Capability to develop and refine processes to improve efficiency. Professional demeanor and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Additional Requirements: Occasional travel may be required, potentially international. Successful completion of post-offer background check and drug test.
