This role requires an experienced professional with expertise in Cisco technologies, micro-segmentation, and Fortinet firewalls. The position will start as a 6-month contract, with the intention to convert to full-time within a year. Local candidates are strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage Cisco ACI solutions within a complex, enterprise-level investment banking environment. Configure and troubleshoot Cisco Nexus switches and datacenter technologies to ensure optimal performance and security. Manage and maintain Fortinet firewalls for network security across various banking infrastructures. Work closely with teams on Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine) to enforce network access policies. Collaborate on projects involving micro-segmentation solutions for enhanced network security and segmentation. Participate in the hybrid work model, requiring occasional on-site presence (1-2 days per month). Required Technical Skills: Cisco Technologies: In-depth knowledge of Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure). Extensive experience with Cisco routing, switching, and datacenter technologies, especially Nexus switches. Firewalls: Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls for network security management. Network Access Control: Experience with Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine) for controlling access and network security policies. Preferred Technical Skills (Highly Desired): Load Balancing & DNS Solutions: Experience with F5 Load Balancers (LTM/GTM) for application delivery. Working knowledge of DNS-based solutions such as BlueCat or Infoblox. Micro-Segmentation: Proven experience with implementing micro-segmentation solutions for enhanced network security. Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in networking with a focus on Cisco and security technologies. Prior experience working in an investment banking environment is highly preferred. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid role with minimal on-site requirements (1-2 days per month). Must be local to the NY area (NY/NJ/PA/CT) .
