Position: Business Analyst with Appian & AWD exp (100% Remote) Location: 100% Remote Duration : 6+ months Job Description : ABOUT JOB. We are seeking a Business Analyst with prior insurance industry experience who is skilled at gathering business requirements, user stories, and QA. The project involves business process automation migrating from the workflow management tool AWD - Automated Workflow Distributor to Appian platform. Responsibilities: Develop business requirements for multiple systems, up/downstream applications and tools (specifically AWD, Appian, APIs) in coordination with key stakeholders. Review user stories created by technical partners for completeness and accuracy to the business requirements. Review quality assurance test plans for positive, negative, and regression test cases related to the user story. Create and execute user acceptance test plans. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience. Five years of experience working complex technical projects. Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization to influence others towards strategic goals. Analytical and problem-solving skills to plan strategy, tactics and perform root-cause analysis. Familiarity with project management tools, lifecycles, etc. Proficiency using MS Office tools Preferred Qualifications: Basic knowledge of insurance company operations. Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail. Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. Ability to accept changing priorities and address issues quickly and professionally. Knowledge of multiple project management frameworks (waterfall, agile). Proficiency in JIRA.
