Job Role: Database Engineer Location: Remote Pay Rate: $65/hr C2C Visa: USC/GC/GCEAD/H4EAD/Only. Candidates coming out of BIG companies, like Microsoft, Google, AWS, Cisco, IBM, Banking / Financials Must have SOLID exp. Not short term. Job description: Title: Database Engineer (DBE) Number of openings: 4 Duration: until end of year & then renewed (6 months with possible extensions) Location: Any location Hours: Do NOT have to work in AZ core hours Interview Process: 1-hour technical Teams interview Citizenship: Any Manager Notes: Does this person need to have experience with both Postgres and SQL Server, or, if they have experience with one, is it okay that they have less experience with the other Do they prefer this person to be stronger with one or the other Answer: Prefer the candidates have PostgreSQL experience and AWS Aurora preferred. SQL Server is a nice to have. DBE hopefully working with Hasura Are there any other tools other than Hasura you will accept to connect to the database Or is it a dealbreaker if they dont have Hasura experience How many years of experience do you require with Hasura Answer: If the candidate is strong enough on Postgres, organization, teamwork, the team can teach a good candidate Hasura. Other areas of expertise would be Data Warehouse and Data Lake for reporting and experience with Migrations from on Prem to AWS. AWS ETL tools is also a great to have but not required. Qualifications: Minimum of 15 years of experience as a Database Engineer or a similar role. Strong experience with PostgreSQL and SQL Server. Proven experience with AWS cloud services related to database management. In-depth understanding of SQL and database programming. Experience with GIT automation. Experience using Hasura and creating APIs. Experience with database design, tuning, and performance optimization. Familiarity with data security, backup, and recovery methods. Prefer the candidates have PostgreSQL experience and AWS Aurora preferred. SQL Server is a nice to have. If the candidate is strong enough on Postgres, organization, teamwork, the team can teach a good candidate Hasura. Other areas of expertise would be Data Warehouse and Data Lake for reporting and experience with Migrations from on Prem to AWS. AWS ETL tools are also a great to have but not required. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Preferred Skills: Certifications in PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or AWS. Experience with other database technologies and NoSQL databases. ETL Experience in AWS. Data Migration from on-prem databases to AWS.
