Role: Wintel VMware Admin Location: Denver, CO or Kansas City, KS (Only Locals) Duration: Contract Experience: 10+ years Visa: Only H1B with Passport Number Role Description: Key Responsibilities: Manage and maintain Windows Server environments (2012/2016/2019). Administer and maintain Active Directory, including user and group management, Group Policy, and security configurations. Oversee DNS, DHCP, and other essential networking services. Install, configure, and manage VMware infrastructure, including ESXi hosts, vCenter, and virtual machines. Monitor system performance and ensure system availability and reliability. Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and patches for both Windows and VMware environments. Troubleshoot server issues related to hardware, software, and connectivity. Implement backup and recovery strategies for Windows and VMware environments. Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., Power) for system administration tasks. Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to resolve issues and optimize performance. Maintain security standards and compliance within the Windows and VMware systems. Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution. Provide technical support for infrastructure projects and end-user requests. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Wintel system administration. Hands-on experience with VMware administration, including vCenter and ESXi hosts. Strong experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management. Proficient with Windows Server administration, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Experience with backup and recovery solutions for Windows and VMware environments. Scripting experience (e.g., Power) is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong knowledge of security best practices in an enterprise environment. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. VMware Certified Professional (VCP) and Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certifications are a plus.
