Business Architect With (Care Management)

Location: Remote, preferred in CA but no required                                                                                                                                   

Duration: 6 months (strong possibility of extension)                                                                                                                                   

Candidate Status Requirement: USC & GC                                                                                                                                 

Interview Process: 2 round video interview

Project Summary 

Kern is seeking a BA (Jiva) for their Care Management/Utilization Management and other responsibilities related to the clinical side of the health plan.                                  

Essential Functions Completing and maintaining a Business Capability Model/Map, Guiding maturity assessments of capabilities, road mapping divisional strategies for leveling up maturity of capabilities, dissecting regulatory and strategic priorities into high level requirements, performing gap analysis in conjunction with Health Services leadership, creating models/graphic representation of requirements and systems (operational and high-level technology                                                                                                                              

Top Five Skills Required

1-Self Driven and strong engagement with others

2-Ability to see the forest through the trees (40k elevation thinking)

3-Industry knowledge of care management and UM processes

Payer experience isn't required, but familiarity with managed care is a plus.

Exposure to Care Management systems (UM/CM/DM/etc.) is a huge plus, ZeOmega Jiva exposure is even better.

Must be able to take new and ambiguous requirements, regulations and/or policy guides to define what they might mean for our business unit, and work with departmental leaders to identify gaps in high level processes and systems that need to be address to meet the requirement.

Able to document requirement needs and gap analysis in a graphical format and be able to present/explain to stakeholders clearly.

Experience creating Business Capability Maps and developing maturity assessments of those capabilities is a must.

Transform strategic plans and goals (not always written down) into actional roadmaps  in partnership with Health Services divisional leaders, including department director (COSA - Josh)"
