This role typically involves: Stakeholder Management : Collaborating with internal teams (e.g., operations, logistics, IT) and external clients to understand their needs, pain points, and opportunities for improvement in warehouse management. Product Development : Leading the development or optimization of WMS features such as inventory tracking, order management, receiving, putaway, picking, packing, shipping, and returns. This often involves creating product roadmaps, defining feature requirements, and working with engineering teams to implement them. Data-Driven Decision Making : Analyzing warehouse performance data to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies. Using KPIs like order accuracy, inventory accuracy, pick rate, and lead time to guide product improvements. Automation and Integration : Implementing or optimizing warehouse automation technologies (e.g., robots, conveyors, barcode scanning) and integrating the WMS with other enterprise systems like ERP, transportation management systems (TMS), and e-commerce platforms. User Experience : Ensuring the WMS is user-friendly for warehouse staff, with features like mobile compatibility, intuitive interfaces, and real-time updates.
