Working as part of a Scrum Team, this role will involve refining user stories, creating and executing test cases, and automating testing processes. The candidate will also be responsible for conducting performance testing on both applications and REST services, as well as integrating test automation scripts into the build process. Responsibilities Collaborate with the Scrum Team to complete user stories, resolve bugs, and address technical debt. Develop, maintain, and execute test cases for both manual and automated testing. Review and update existing test cases and create new test plans, including post-deployment smoke tests. Create and maintain test automation scripts, integrating them into the build process. Perform performance testing on frontend/backend applications and REST services using tools like JMeter and LoadRunner. Create and triage bugs identified during testing, and analyze/verify bugs submitted by others. Work closely with Product Owners to evaluate and refine user stories and requirements. Required Skills and Qualifications 4-7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Test Automation. Strong experience with requirement refinement in collaboration with Product Owners. Expertise in setting up automation frameworks. Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for project management, user stories, bugs, and test cases. Automation Testing: Strong skills in automation testing using Selenium, with the ability to create and maintain automated test cases. Ability to integrate automation tests into the build process. Performance Testing: Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter and LoadRunner for both application and REST service performance testing. Proficiency in writing and maintaining detailed test plans and test cases. Experience with GIS application testing. Preferred Skills and Qualifications Familiarity with Agile and BDD methodologies, and tools such as Cucumber. Experience with popular IDEs/tools such as Eclipse, Visual Studio, and IntelliJ. Nice to Have Knowledge of Esri ArcGIS and its associated tools (ArcGIS API for Python, ArcPy, ArcSDE, JavaScript API versions 3.x and 4.x, ArcGIS REST API). Work to be Accomplished Ensure the quality of TxDOT applications through rigorous testing and automation practices. Incorporate automated testing into the development build process to streamline quality assurance efforts.
