Role: Lead Mainframe Developer Location: Omaha, NE (Hybrid) Duration: Contract Experience: 10+ years Key Skills: AS400_COBOL, Mainframe DB2 - Application Development, System Z - SAS Visa : Only H1B with Passport Number Role Description: Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage mainframe development projects, ensuring timely and quality delivery of solutions. Develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications using AS400_COBOL and Mainframe DB2. Perform system analysis, design, and application development on IBM System Z. Utilize SAS tools for data extraction, manipulation, and reporting on mainframe systems. Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions. Provide leadership and technical guidance to the development team. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to mainframe applications. Ensure that application development follows industry best practices and compliance standards. Participate in code reviews, testing, and implementation of new features and enhancements. Monitor and optimize the performance of mainframe systems and applications. Maintain up-to-date documentation of mainframe systems and processes. Mentor and train junior developers and team members. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 5 years of experience in AS400_COBOL development. Proficiency in Mainframe DB2 - Application Development. Strong expertise in System Z - SAS for data manipulation and reporting. Experience leading and managing development teams in a mainframe environment. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. Strong understanding of mainframe architecture and operating systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Experience with Agile or other project management methodologies is a plus.
