Job Title : Network Engineer Location: Jersey City, NJ Only Local 3 Day onsite per week Experience: 9+Years Type: Contract Job Description: Key Responsibilities: Network Design: Develop and implement network designs based on business requirements and industry best practices. Network Implementation: Install, configure, and maintain network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network issues, such as connectivity problems, performance bottlenecks, and security breaches. Network Security: Implement and enforce network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access control policies. Network Monitoring: Monitor network performance and usage, identifying and addressing potential issues. Documentation: Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures. Vendor Management: Manage relationships with network equipment vendors and service providers. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Certification in networking technologies (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) is preferred. Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, VLANs, routing protocols). Experience with network hardware and software (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, network management systems). Knowledge of network security best practices and standards. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
