This is an excellent opportunity for skilled engineers with expertise in cloud infrastructure and platform engineering, who are eager to grow and contribute to cutting-edge software tooling and automation solutions. This role is hybrid, requiring 3 days a week in the Seattle office. Candidates with a background in infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and Python are ideal, with Azure as the primary cloud platform (AWS experience is acceptable). Key Responsibilities: Platform Engineering : Provision and deprovision Azure resources using Terraform. Develop automation tasks with Python. Architect and build internal software tools. Leverage Continuous Delivery and Integration frameworks for deployment automation, configuration management, testing, and managing Git repositories. Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum environment. Utilize core internet protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and network administration, including load balancers, VLAN, IP sub-netting, and firewalls. Contribute to CI/CD pipeline building and infrastructure automation using ADO (Azure DevOps). Required Skills and Experience: 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 4 years in application development. 4+ years of automation and scripting using Python, with a focus on IaaS (pure Python developers will not be considered). Strong experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Chef, or Puppet. Experience in CI/CD pipeline development and management using ADO. 6+ years of experience deploying production code using Docker containers. Proficiency in Azure (AWS is acceptable) and cloud IaaS/PaaS services. Solid background in large-scale distributed systems architecture (e.g., Java/Spring Boot, Kafka, Spark). Strong Linux and network administration skills. Preferred Experience: Hands-on experience with containers and orchestration. Knowledge of networking protocols and network security architecture. Experience in building cloud-native applications and infrastructure.
