Role: Technical Writer Location: Mclean VA -Onsite Job type: Contract Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer to join our team and create comprehensive technical documentation for our server, webserver, middleware, database, and application products. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of these technologies and be able to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to a diverse audience. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, troubleshooting guides, and API reference manuals. Collaborate with engineers and product managers to gather and analyze technical specifications and requirements. Create and maintain diagrams and flowcharts using tools like MS Visio to illustrate complex technical processes. Review and edit technical documentation to ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to style guidelines. Provide technical support to customers and internal teams by answering questions and resolving documentation-related issues. Stay up-to-date with the latest technical developments and industry best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field. Proven solid experience as a Technical Writer, with a strong focus on server, webserver, middleware, database, and application technologies. Proven ability to write clear and concise technical documentation for a variety of audiences. Strong understanding of technical concepts, including networking, systems administration, and database management. Proficiency in using MS Visio and other documentation tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of technical writing standards and best practices. Experience with content management systems and version control tools.
