Job Title: Data Engineer/ Lead Location: Charlotte, NC Experience- 10+ years Job Type- Contract Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer/Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering and software development, particularly with real-time streaming data solutions. This role will involve designing and implementing end-to-end business solutions, leveraging various technologies to optimize data workflows and enhance data-driven decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable data solutions. Utilize Java and Kafka for real-time data streaming and integration. Implement and optimize data models, including star schemas and data warehousing concepts. Develop and maintain ETL mappings, mapplets, sessions, and workflows in Informatica. Create and execute Unix/Linux scripts for automation and process management. Work with cloud technologies (Azure and/or GCP) to enhance data processing capabilities. Apply strong SQL skills to interact with Oracle databases and perform advanced data querying. Utilize Python and Spark SQL for data manipulation and analysis. Participate in Agile methodologies, including Sprint and Kanban, to deliver high-quality software solutions. Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in data engineering and software development. Proven expertise in building end-to-end business solutions using Informatica PowerCenter. Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing concepts. Hands-on experience with real-time streaming data technologies (Kafka). Familiarity with Flink, Kubernetes, and MongoDB is a plus. Proficiency in scripting on Linux/Unix environments. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills: Experience with Agile delivery methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban). Knowledge of cloud services and platforms, particularly Azure and GCP.
